The president of America has a stroke and Kevin Kline who looks exactly like the president is asked to pretend to be the president by a scheming Frank Langella. However the plan starts to go astray when Kevin Kline starts to take the job seriously and takes a liking to the presidents estranged wife (Sigourney Weaver).
