During World War 2 a group of naval weather men are stationed in the middle of the Gobi Dessert. When the Janapese attack the station, the only way of escape is across the desert to the coast with the help of the local Mongolian tribesmen. The plot is unusal, being sset in the desert, but is based on true events.
