This is the version of the Dracula story that hasset the style for most of the following Count Dracula characters who have been based on Bela Lugosi's portrayal of Dracula. His voice also set a style for the voice, which was based on his stage version of the character. This set Bela Lugosi off on his film career. It also started Universal to make horror films, of which this is really the first and its commercial success led to the studio making many more.
