A college professors life (Clifton Webb) is turned upside down when the romantic actions silent films he made as a young man start being shown on television hosted by his attractive co-star (Ginger Rogers). When is is threataned with th esack he he goes to NewYork with his daughter (Anne Francis) to try and stop the films being shown on television. There are good performances from Clifton Webb as the man trying to leave his past behind him and Ginger Rogers as the scheming woman trying to restart her career. There is good support from Anne Francis as the sheltered daughter dicovering men and love.
