In order to inherit a fortune a woman must marry, but the man she is in love with is already married. SHe offers to pay off his wife to divorce him, but then decides to marry a man on death row with only 2 days to live. However he is reprieved and she is now stuck with the man as her husband.This was Cecil B DeMille's first all sound feature length film. It is a mix of styles from melodrama, to sending up the decadent life style of the rich, to simple comedy of Kay Johnson trying to cook through to a romantic triangle.
