A coder (Domhnall Gleeson) who works for a big internet company wins a prize of spending a week with the reclusve CEO (Oscar Isaac). When gets there he is asked to apply the Turing Test to a beautiful robot with artificial intelligence. As the week goes by, he becomes increasing convinced of the humanity of the AI robot. On one level this slow, being basically a series of conversations between Domhall Gleeson and Alicia Vikander, on another level it is an exploration of what it is to be human. The effects that turn Alicia Vikander into a robot are very good and effective and her performance is the best in the film. The twist at the end is predictable and the final ending is weak.
