A Victorian inventor (Lionel Jeffries) invents a substance that hides anything that it is painted on from the force of gravity. He decies to use it to travel to the moon with his financial backer (Edward Judd) and they accidentally also take his girlfriend (Martha Hyer) with them. Once on the moon they meet up with the local inhabitants, This is based on H G Wells book which has some problems with the science but is a nice piece of 1960's Sci Fi with some good monsters from Ray Harryhausen.
