A seamstress (Agnes Ayres) with an abusive husband (Clarence Burton) is persuaded to be a society woman so a wealthy couple (KAthlyn Williams) can close a business deal. Things get complicated when she falls in love with the wealthy man (Forrest Stanley) they want to do the deal with. This is a mix of drama with social comment, plus a bit of romance thrown in. There is a good performance from Agnes Ayres as the woman moving between social starta and findding love instead of abuse.
