When two newly weds have their car stolen they decide not to buy each other Christmas presentss so the can replace the car. However they both plan to buy each other their perfect gift and the pressures of doing so affects their relationship. This is not a good adaptation of a short story and the plot twist is s telegraphed too early in the film. Marla Sokoloff is very bland, but Megan Riordan is fun in a supporting role as her work friend.
