A woman who had a car accident whilst drunk moves to a new town on parole where on old friend helps her to get a job. She meets a man and has a one night stand, only to find that he is the husband of her friend and a man climbing the political ladder. When the body of a dead woman turns up she begins to suspect that he is a murderer. As she investigates, more bodies turn up, leading to a dramatic climax. This is a typical by the number made for television thriller.
