The Hansel and Gretel of the story have grown up into adult witch hunters (Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton) and are hired by a town to find the witch (Famke Janssen) that is taking their children. Ths is a piece of dark fantasy that is both violent and at times comic. The film started as a good idea but the plot and characters are not good. Gemma Arterton and Famke Janssen have more talent than this film allows them to show. This is a film that has a feel that it should have better than it is and has the feel of a pilot for television series.
