Comment/Synopsis

Lord Peter Wimsey (Robert Montgomery) marries Harriet Vane (Constance CUmmings) and buys her childhood home, but when they arrive they find a body in the cellar. They had both agreed to stop solving crimes and writing srime novels but immediately get caught up in solving the murder of the dead man in the cellar. This is a pleasant murder mystery, but Robert Montgomery is not entirely convincing as Lord Peter Wimsey although the plot unfolds nicely.
