Comment/Synopsis

A female scientist (Margaret Lockwood) is sent undercover to a Balkan state to retrive some insects from a secret laboratory that have been bred to to carry a disease and be used as a weapon. Margaret Lockwood is good in the lead as the scientist becoming a spy and there is good support from Dane Clark as an American reporter who helps her. This is a good early 1950's British spy thriller. The screenplay was written by Eric Ambler.
