Two young girls (Rose Byrne and Romola Garai) live in a castle with a father (Bill Nighy) who wrote a successful book years ago and a bohemian step mother (Tara Fitzgerald). Their drab life is enlivened by the arrival of two American brothers as the new landlord. There follows a tangled web of relationships and love. This is an unusual, but entertaining film
