A married man decides run away with the married woman he is having an affair with. On the journey he has second thoughts, pulls the communication cord and runs across a field back to his wife. Another train crashes into the stationary train killing the woman. However things are not what they seem and life spirals into a nightmare. This is a good British thriller with some nice plot twists and good performances from Richard Todd having second thoughts about his affair and Valerie Hobson as the wife standing by her husband despite his infedelity.
