A scientist working on a remote island creates a new life form based on silicone that lives by eating peoples bones. A doctor (Peter Cushing) is brought in to find a way of stopping them. This is a typical British horror film from the 1960's. The monsters are not exactly dynamic and the tension is patchy. This not the best of Terence Fisher's films but it is effective.
