A young woman (Margaret Lockwood) who sometimes sees visions, through various adventures and friends ends up marrying th Lord of the manor (basil Sydney) against a background of her friend's (Dennis Price) father loosing the manor to the man through gambling. Whilst the technicolour costumes are impressive, the plot and direction are sprawling. There is a good performance from Margaret Lockwood in the lead role, with good supporting performances from Patricia Roc as her friend, Basil Sydney as the man who wins the house and Esma Cannon as the servant who is attacked and looses her voice.
