Comment
During World War 2, Sophia Loren is a Swiss/Italian woman who lives in flat that is shareed with the captain of a tug boat that rescues ships that have been attacked by German submarines. The key to flat is passed from one tug boat captain to the next and as one captain is killed the next moves into the flat. This is a mix of action at sea during the war and the interplay between the three main characters as they deal with the inevitable loss associated with war. There are good performances from all three main characters and particularly Sophia Loren as the enigmatic woman with thee curious living arrangements.
