A scientist returns from Africa with a chimp and some plants that he claims has special properties. He starts growing meat eating plants and creates a serum from tham that causes the chimp to start growing in size. When people start objecting to his work and relationship with one of his students he uses the giant chimp to get rid of them. This is a typical low budget British creature feature from the early 1960's. The effects and plot are not great, but there is a suitable perfformance from Michael Gough as the increasingly mad sscientist, with good support from Margo Jones as his long suffering assistant and lover, plus Claire Gordon as the attractive female student.
