In 19th century England a woman (Florence Pugh) is sold into an abusive loveless marriage and when her husband goes off on an extended business trip she starts a passionate affair with one of the farm hands (Cosmo Jarvis), but she will stop at nothing to get what she wants. The plot is not special and the direction in quite minimalist, however it is effective and there is a good performance from Florence Pugh.
