The son (Ralph Forbes) of a lord proposes to his grilfriend (Ruth Chatterton) who is an actress much to the disapproval of his family who come up with a plan to put her off the marriage but she then falls in love with his brother (Basil Rathbone) who is already having an affair with a married woman. The plot is not great and the film does suffer from being an early sound film based on a stage play, which makes it very static and wordy. However Ruth Chatterton give s good performance with a range of emotions with solid support from Basil Rathbone as the other brother. Pleasant, but not a classic.
