A young socialte (Tuppence Middleton) traveling through Europe on a train meets an elderly lady who then disappears, but everyone denies having seen the lady on the train. She is helped by two men to prove she is not mad and that the lady existed. This is a reasonable version of the story, but would have benefitted from a stronger lead actress and more time gven to some of the good supporting cast. The best version of this story is still the 1938 Margaret Lockwood version.
