A young doctor is invited to help the residents of a decayign stately home where his mother served as a housemaid, but he cannot prevent death and strange things happening. This is a film that is unsure of what it is. Is it horror, fantasy, romance? It ends up being disappointing. Domhnall Gleeson is bland in the lead, but Charlotte Rampling is good as always.
