A Dallas housewife (Michelle Pfeiffer) watches Kennedy arrive and after he is shot decides to go to his funeral. Whilst travelling on a bus she befriends the daughter of a coloured man and starts a chain of events that leads to them being chased by the police. The film captures something of the racial tensions in 1960's America, coupled with a strong performance from Michelle Pfeiffer.
