A man (Basil Rathbone) who has killed his previous rich wives marries another wealthy woman (Ellen Drew) however a reporter was already in love with her and starts to investigate the man. It transpires that he is not really who he says he is. The film is made by the performance of Basil Rathbone as the cold calculating murder who is also charming to women. There is also good support from Ellen Drew as the wealthy socialte who becomes his next target.
