Comment/Synopsis
An engine fire during a test flight leaves the pilot having to make a difficult single engine landing. There is a good performance from Jack Hawkins as the lone pilot and this is set against the background of the company needing the plane in order to stay in business and the emotional and financial strains with his wife (Elizabeth Sellars) and family. This is an emotional drama rather than an action flying film, but still a good film.
