The assistant to an American senator is sent to a small Irish town to find his Irish ancestors in an attempt to gain the Irish vote for his election campaign. She arrives in the middle of the annual matchmaking festival and has to avoid various matchmating ploys whilst trying to get the locals to help her. This is an entertaining lightweight romantic comedy that benefits from a good performance by Janeane Garofalo, with support from Milo O'Shea as the matchmaker.
