Michael Caine reprises his role as Harry Palmer, only now he has retired from being a spy and is a private detective in Russia. He goes to St Petersburg to find some missing plutonium as well as rescuing his sidekicks kidnapped girlfriend. This is disappointing both for plot and acting. The Harry Palmer character is based on a character written by Len Deighton and has been played by Michael Caine in several films.
