Comment
Millie (Helen Twelevetrees) is a young woman who marries young, but separates from her husband when she finds he is having an affair. She leaves her daughter with her husband and starts an independent life stringing men along but never committing herself to anyone. Years later when one of her ex-boyfriends (John Halliday) starts an affair with her daughter (Anita Louise) she seeks revenge. This film is a story of Millie's life from innocent woman frightened on her honeymoon, to bored housewife, to woman about town, to passionate mother. Helen Twelevetrees gives a good performance as the sexy and passionate red haired woman, with good support from Joan Blondell and Lilyan Tashman as a pair of lesbian friends who share a bed and work their way through a selection silk and fur outfits. This film was risqué for its time.
