A young man is charged with murdering a policeman when he is found standing by the body holding the gun. The psychiatrist girl friend of his solicitor believes him that he is innocent and sets out to prove his innocence. Adam Faith gives a good performance, despite being better known as a singer (he does sing La Bamba in the film) and Anne Baxter does well with the character she has to work with.
