During the Russian revolution and simple peasant Lon Chaney) saves a beautiful countess (Barbara Bedford) and then gets caught up in the revolution between the peasants and the upper classes of the countess and his rival for her affections (Ricardo Cortez). This is a mix of drama and politics with Lon Chaney at the centre of the action and an aloof performance from Barbara Bedford as the snobish aristocrat.
