A meteor crashes new a small desert town but when bits of it are exposed to water it increases in size, falls down, breaks up and grows again. This is a different version of the alien invasion theme where the aliens are inanimate rocks, but still destructive. Not a classic sci-fi film from the 1950's and the acting is not great. Lola Albright has little to do with her school teacher / love interest character.
