During the war time housing crisis a woman reants half her flat to a wealthy middle aged man who then sub lets his half to a younger man. He then plays matchmaker between the two of them despite her already being engaged. This is an entertaining screwball comedy, particularly the interplay between Jean Arthur and Joel McCrea in the early part of the film. These wer performances for which he won an Oscar and she was nominated.
