A man (Adam Sandler) running a pizza restaurant in a very small town suddenly inherits a fortune and a major company. He is taken to New York by people who want the company from him and a reporter (Winona Ryder) goes undercover to meet him and starts to fall in love with him. This is a loose remake of the Frank Capra produced Mr Deeds Goes To Town. This film has all the typical Adam Sandler mad-cap stunts and comedy. If you like Adam Sandler then this will be funny, if not, then watch the better original version. The performance of Winona Ryder is the best part of this version.
