A man is killed sitting in the front row of the Windmill Theatre and two world weary policemen (Garry Marsh and Jon Pertwee) sit through a repeat performance to find the killer. This is a curious movie in that it has a very weak murder plot and is basically an excuse to film a toned down version of the Windmill review show using members of the cast and theatre staff. Whilst this does not reflect the more erotic side of the stage show it does give a feel for the the theatre in the late 1940's.
