Comment/Synopsis

Wyat Earp (Henry Fonda) takes on the role of marshall in Tombstone to exact revenge for his brothers death and comes up against Doc Holiday (Victor Mature). This is John Ford's version of the story of the shoot out at the OK Corral. This is the first film version of the story and director John Ford had met Wyatt Earp. However the film is really not based on fact and in fact largely created the legend.
