When the friend of a bookshop owner (Kellie Martin) and amateur sleuth is shot dead after telling her she has been cheated out of her inheritance she tries to find the truth. As she investigates she finds her life threatened. This is one of a series of Kellie Martin Mystery Woman films. This is not the best of the series but Kellie Martin has her usual charm and is ably supported by Nina Siemaszko.
