An innocent man (Aldo Ray) gets caught up with thieves and murderers. The man has a chance meeting with Anne Bancroft and he explains his situation in a series of flashbacks as they try to demonstrate his innocence. This is a variation of the film noir style and whilst not a classic film it is effective.
