A young woman tries to save the marriage of her uncle and aunt from the consequences of a series of indiscretions by her uncle. Along the way she enlists the help of and falls in love with a theatre director and a painter. Anna Neagle is good as the ever cheerful Nanette and she is well supported by a good cast. This differs from the stage production and the 1930 film version.
