The Outlaw is not a particularly good film, but is notable for being Jane Russell's first film and for falling foul of the US censorship rules. Jane Russell said she was comfortable with what she filmed, but it was the publicity that caused the problems. This was made made by Howard Hughes before he bought RKO but under his control and influence.
