Private sleuth and crime fiction writer Paul Temple returns to London from holiday to help the police investigate a series of murders by the mysterious Marquis. This is the fourth of the Paul Temple films this time with Patricia Dainton as his wife. The plot is quite convoluted and contrived and the direction ends up giving some stiff acting. Patricia Dainton brings some elegance but otherwise had little to do. Christopher Lee appears with a small part and Dan Jackson is clearly not from Burma as his character is.
