A cab driver (Stan Laurel) takes a woman (Anita Garvin) and her "child" to a ship and his cab gets accidentally taken on board. There he is made to work for the Purser (Oliver Hardy) and uncovers the woman's scam and the supposed baby is her collaborator. This is an entertaining and fast paced short from Laurel and Hardy. What makes this film notable is that it is the first time that Oliver Hardy looks to the camera and hence the audience, breaking that fourth wall and drawing the audience into the film.
