Comment/Synopsis

An insurance investigater (Jack Hawkins) meets an old flame (Arlene Dahl) whilst investigating a house fire and then gets caught up in murder and blackmail. This is a British crime dama that has plenty of twists and turns in the plot. There are good performances from Jack Hawkins and Arlene Dahl as well as good performances from the supporting cast.
