A diary that could start another war is stolen by a pair a spies, but their associate double crosses them and takes the train to Trieste. The couple follow looking for the diary. On board the train various characters get dragged into the plot that then turns deadly. The interactions between the various charcters add interest to the basic plot of looking for a book on a train. This was Rona ANderson's first film appearance.
