An Englishman takes the blame for another man stealing from an orphan fund, escapes to the mid west of America where he has an affair with a native American woman. This film is a mixed bag and the plot is not subtle, The film is arguably one of the first feature films made in California and is the first film directed by Cecil B DeMille.
