A ghost writer is invited to stay at an expensive hotel to write the biography of a wealthy art dealer where she meets a man who she thinks is British aristocracy and he thinks she is wealthy. Their budding romance plays out against a background of a story the art dealer tells of his love for a woman at the hotel when he was young and working as a butler. The twist to this sub-plot is very predictable. Jessy Schram is fin ein the lead but the male actors are uninspiring.
