Christopher Reeve is the child from planet Krytpton who is brought up on earth. He grows up with superpowers that he keeps quite, so he is the mild reporter and the superhero. He battles Gene Hackman as tghe villan whilst trying to keep his identity secret from Margot Kidder (as Lois Lane) another reporter. This film version of the comic book super hero led to 3 sequels. Not quite comic book, but good effects and Christopher Reeve does well with both sides of the lead character.
