A woman (Greta Garbo) who is abused by her family runs away after they try to force her into a marriage. She is rescued by a man (Clark Gable) she falls in love with, but whilst he is away, her family finds her again, so she runs away and gets involved with different men whilst still in love with the man who first rescued her. This film seems to be a series on disconnected settings and suffers from a disjointed plot and a lack of character development. Greta Garbo is suitably sultry in some scenes but overall this is a disappointing mainly due to the problems with the plot.
