A night club dancer (Lynn Bari) is rescued from a torpedoed ship in world war two and ends up marrying the ships captain (Edward G Robinson). When is ship is torpedoed on his next trip, he suspects that she might be a spy as she cannot prove her identity. As he starts to investigate he is surprised by what he finds out. This script is very patchy and a mix of romance and spy but not really very effective at either. Although Lynn Bari is gets a top credit, she is absent for half the film.
