A telephone operator is sent a gift for helping a rich woman. When she phones to say thank you, the woman is in the process of being robbed and she finds her policeman boyfriend to save the day. This has a better story line than most short's of the period thanks to its origins as a play. The first half is the drama and the second the action with a suitably enthusiastic performance from Mae Marsh as the telephone girl and and a suitably sly performance from harry Carey as the thief. There is a early cameo performance from Lionel Barrymore.
